Before you started the Golden Gate Diet, it was easy to thumb through the pages of Cosmo and look at a thin, beautiful model and fall into a state of defeatism. You may have had these thoughts: “I can never look that way. I was just not born with that body.”
But as you now know, the truth is quite different. What distinguishes the girl in Cosmo from people who are heavier is that that girl is eating fewer calories and burning more calories.
She’s eating fewer calories in one of two ways. She’s either starving herself—needlessly—or she’s eating foods with a low caloric density, whether she knows it or not.
And she’s burning more calories by going to the gym every day.
